Peter Capaldi Success???

I wrote to Peter on the 7th of December 2013 and sent a picture and a SASE, today 15/01/14 I received my Picture back unsigned with a note and a pp or pre-signed picture, unsure if it's real as I've seen other feedback's and the signature looks identical to the others.

I think it is real - I think he must have signed loads of them cards for someone else to send them out for him and then for the letters to be past of when he's ready to read them

I'm sorry, but this one is just too ridiculous to let pass without commenting, there's no way any self respecting collector on this forum is going to allow newbies to send to Peter thinking this is real. This has been discussed on many occasions on this forum, and the bottom line is no way are they real.

... is the link posted by someone else previously on here, it's identical. It looks very much like they are printing onto his existing photos as and when required for fanmail as it has a glossy sheen to it which can be rubbed off (or at least one previously could) which eliminates PP, but the identical positioning on the photo lessens the AP chances, though it could of course still be. The point is though.. NO WAY ARE THESE REAL!!

Not a shadow of a doubt. Peter is the nicest guy around, evidenced by what he sent me, but there's no way he will cope with the influx of mail he'll be getting now. Wouldn't be surprised to see scattered successes, but 99% will be this non authentic response.

I'm not sure he's even tried to keep up with it , as he seems to have gone for fakes almost as soon as announced as the Doctor .

He is a lovely guy - I was talking to him the week BEFORE he was announced But has he been conned into doing a Matt Smith straight away

Not quite...he was signing up to the 50th. There's posters on here that got up to six from him, including his own pic included. Not quite sure what the reference to Matt Smith is, as I don't think he ever issued non authentics, he just opted to barely sign.
