using 4 by 6 inch photos instead of 8 by 10s

Post by Bill73 »

I recently had two 8 by 10 pictures printed at Wal Mart, and it cost me around $6 for them.

Since I want to send out hundreds of requests over time, this seems to be too expensive. So, I looked on the Wal Mart site, and it says that 4 by 6 photos are only $0.19 each, which is much more reasonable. Is that big enough to send to a celebrity to have him/her sign?

I think that would be enough. I would send them a picture a size higher but that's just me

I send mainly 4 by 6's or index cards, trust me, it's fine.

Go to Costco. They are cheaper and better quality.

Hi, I printed a photo off Altavista and took it to CVS. Had a 4x6 printed for a sample and it was good quality.

Forgot to mention that the 4x6 cost 39 cents.

I don't have one nearby. Wal Mart did a good job with my initial photos though.

Yes most UK promo cards are 6X4 so they are reasonable to send

4x6 is ok ...I print my own phots so i use 5x7 because its just abit bigger but still uses less ink and smaller envelopes than a 8x10 but i have sent out lots of 4x6 and still do sometimes and they are big enough.

I've used 4x6's from Target @ .29 cents and good quality. 4x6 fits in a normal size envelope aswell for your return address with a ONLY .45 cents stamp. BEST way to go. 8x10 you have to pay at the min. $1.56 x2 for the return. not sure on the 5x7 , but the 4x6 is cheap price.
I'm currenty getting back in to the TTM's. I got a job that took all my time away from the TTM. but now working the night shift which give me some time to get back at it.

Good luck at what ever you do, but just DO IT, it's a great way to get a collection going.
