I have next to no faith in this VV stuff. I'm currently like 0/17 and I've sent to multiple venues that supposedly pass mail on. Of all the things I've sent to, I sent to:

Black Keys - Hartford, CT - returned unsigned
Avicii - Chicago - returned, forged by someone at the venue
Armin Van Buuren - Chicago - same as Avicii
Rodrigo Y Gabriela - Philadelphia - nothing
Paramore - Worcester - nothing
Metric - Worcester - nothing
Macklemore + Ryan Lewis - Boston - nothing
Skrillex - Madison, Wisconsin, nothing
Martin Solveig - NYC - nothing
Phoenix - Seattle - nothing
Lorde - Seattle - nothing
Jerry Seinfeld - Minneapolis - nothing

A few others, can't remember the details now... I also sent to 2 actors VV, and got nothing. My advice for anyone looking to try this: don't bother!

That's tough to read I've sent many VV requests last year and as far as I can recall, I got only Jeremy Bulloch VV (which I never thought I would, after waiting for so long!). In my experience, VV may take much more time than normal requests. Good luck with your requests!

It could be that the specific artist refuses the mail, or takes it and tosses it. Maybe those artists don't sign. Sending VV to movie sets or plays is much more successful, in my experience. I have gotten some of my best successes this way. I don't often do touring artists VV because there are too many risks and they aren't there long enough. At least with movie sets the actors are there for more than one day.
