Jimmy Carter Success

Unread post by Eddie08 »

Hello all,

After a bit of a drought, I got back a photo signed by former president Jimmy Carter!! I sent the photo off 5-3-11 and received it back today 8-1-11. Very nice to get a president! Also, a few days ago, I picked up one of his books (sadly) at the 99 cent store...I thought that was a great pick-up and I think I'll send it out to him soon! Thanks for looking!

Obviously you need a long history lesson if you feel that way. Don't make those kinds of statements unless you know about what every President has done. Thanks.

Great success to the OP. Congrats.

Thanks...Thats cool we sent the same picture. I really like it. I got it from his Library years and years ago. I love the back, it has the stamps from the White House stating it is an Official White House photo. The book I got was Beyond the White House. 99 cents for a first edition...thats a good deal in my book.

As for the second worst president statement...I'm not even sure he was the second worst president of the 1900's. I know he isn't toward the top of many lists but to say he's the second worst ever seems harsh.

Hey Zaj ....If you read Eddie08's signature, it says : "Feedback is always welcomed and appreciated!" - So, I told him/her CONGRATS and made a statement - I won't even attempt to argue the performance that President Carter provided for this great country! He is a wonderful MAN, no doubt - Just was an awful president ... Could give u plenty of reasons for my argument - MY opinion, and if you don't agree, you have the right to say so as well. And u did .... Again, Nice Success Eddie 08!!! Always cool to have a President's Autograph!~ {up}

Worst Presidents:
1. James Buchanan - Failed to do anything to prevent the American Civil War. Nothing more needs to be said than that.
2. Franklin Pierece - Signed the Kansas-Nebraska Act... another President who could have prevented the Civil War.
3. Warren Harding - One of our most corrupt Presidents.
4. Martin Van Buren - Continued the removal of Native Americans from their home lands, pushing them further west.
5. Herbert Hoover - The Great Depression... Enough said.
6. William Harrison - Didn't last long as President.
7. Richard Nixon - Watergate.
8. Millard Fillmore - Failed to solve the slavery crisis.
9. James Garfield - Another short term President.
10. George W. Bush - 2 Wars, worst recession since the Great Depression.

Oh, that's awesome that it's official! My copy was just printed on my home printer. :lol:

I have his books "Sharing Good Times" and "Living Faith," they're both really great. You should check them out sometime if you get the chance. {up}

As to the arguing going on, can we just end it before another thread in this forum gets locked? I also find it kind of ironic that there's an argument brewing on a thread about a Nobel Peace Prize winner... :neutral:
