Natalie Portman?

Post by skidd »

Hey guys
Any thoughts on this Natalie Portman auto?
http://www.signed4uautographs.com/natal ... rrency=USD
It's kinda small, so I appreciate it may be difficult to make, but any help is appreciated!

Edit: There are 2 more here from the same source
http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/NATALIE-PORTMAN-C ... 3799wt_989
http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/RARE-NATALIE-PORT ... 3499wt_989
Also, does the fact that this place is labelled a 'Top Seller' and has nearly 4000 positive ratings over a 5 year period add to its credibility as a seller?

Thanks!

The problem is they are very difficult to evaluate since it's small scans of the items. Additionally, I do not trust the third link at all. It doesn't match what I've seen of Portman's signature. The other two, however, seem a bit similar and closer to what she signs, but being that it is from the same seller I would be wary of getting it. There are some characteristics which match and others that do not.

After going through some of the other items this seller has listed, I have found some fakes. I would steer clear of this.

Thanks for your help! I agree with you, if some of this guy's stuff is real, and some is fake, it's better not to risk it.

But, just as a general rule, does a large feedback count, combined with a long length of time as a seller, mean that the seller is more reliable - or is it a case of people in the past not picking up on the fakes they've sold?

A large feedback would matter if say you were choosing to bid/buy a DVD, videogame, poster, knick knack etc. It wouldn't add any form of authenticity to the goods of the seller. It would merely show the seller has sold a lot of times and fulfilled on the promise of actually completing the transaction, and possibly a speedy delivery and good packaging. As you've mentioned, people could simply buy from a seller who constantly sell fakes, and being inexperienced would allow them to fall victim to repeat purchases with that given seller.

I hope this helps a bit.
