adding phone numbers in fan mail...

Hey everyone!!

I was wondering what people say to adding phone numbers when you write fan mail. Is it something worth doing?

I don't think I would consider doing that.

I use official looking letterhead when I send my letters. It includes my name, Address, Phone number and email addresses. I do that just in case my envelope or SASE gets misplaced. I've not gotten ant phone calls yet, but have received a few emails though!! Most are just letting me know that they sent my items back signed and to be watching for them.

It really depends on your personal choice. A letterhead, as Ryan mentions, is something I have been working on for a while. Of course, adding your personal details is risky, many people chose not to do it in case it "falls into the wrong hands". The choice is yours I wouldnt however suggest you should go "this is my email/phone number, please contact me!" Just a note of them in your contact details will be enough.

I usually add my email address, and only on special occasions, my phone number.

I'd say it depends how you include it. A letterhead is fine, but adding a "give me a ring, my number is xxxxx" is just weird!

At the bottom of each of my letters I include my address, email address, and phone number.
