How Much Postage Should I Use?

Hello!
I’ve collected autographs in the mail using the SASE method for a few years now (with a very high success rate) but the last batch of 8 I mailed out in May completely disappeared (no RTS or successes). This leads me to believe that my postage may have been insufficient for the return envelopes, especially since there were some changes at USPS this year that I didn’t fully follow.
How much postage (in stamps) do you affix to your envelopes?
For reference, I use 8x10 rigid mailers inside of a 9x12 catalog envelope. Any help would be greatly appreciated!
