Sandy Koufax Refusal / RTS

I sent a playing card, note, and SASE to Mr Sandy Koufax on 6-13-2021 and received it back marked RTS today, 6-28-2021. I am Very confused as to what this means, as you can see in the picture on the envelope it says in big letters (REFUSED). Does this mean that he got it and doesn't want to open it? I think that if I was as famous as he is I would at least open it to see what the person wanted, for all he knew I could have been giving him money... Should I try again? The address I used was the one in the DB:

He won’t answer anything-I’ve seen maybe 3 people ever get something back and it took them 20 years in some cases.

I understand that he is old, 86 I think. I have received only two successes from ttm autos, those guys were almost as old as Koufax, they are 77 and 79... I wouldn't think that it would take very much effort to sign a card and toss it in an envelope...
