Maria Sharapova disappointing double success

I sent this gorgeous tennis player 4 pictures about 2 months ago. I got all four pictures back today unsigned. But I did get two nice 5 by 7s autographed by her. I was disappointed because the 8 by 10s I sent of her were really nice. Anyway, here's the address I used:

What probably happened was a secretary had presigned photos and jsut slipped them into the new envelope. I'm sorry you didn't get your desired photos signed

But still a success

I would have to disagree - that doesn't make sense.

If a secretary was signing the pictures, why would he/she not just sign the items provided? It makes more sense that Maria Sharapova signed a bunch of cards and the secretary just puts them in the envelope.

The explanation of having hte secretary sign photos makes sense. But at the same time why wouldn't the sec. sign the photos I sent her as well? And what's even more puzzling is that 1 pic was signed to me and the other was signed to a pal of mine. Things that make me go hmmmmmmmmm.

Interesting difference between your success and mine

I sent late January and included a LOR, SASE and this picture which I got returned to me last week with what looks like an authentic sig and personalized with my last name. The handwriting of my name might be secretarial, might not be, but if you look at the M in my name and her signature, they both have similar characteristics.

So then the question, why did she personalize and sign the picture I sent and not yours and a few others I have seen in the last two weeks? :shock:

No no no, they're not saying it's sec, they're saying Maria presigned stuff, and the sec put it in the envelope.

I also just received a success from Maria and I don't think it is a sec just putting the pre-signed pic in an envelope. What leads me to believe this is that my success had a return address from cleveland and was postmarked from Los Angeles as can be seen from my picture viewtopic.php?f=2&t=151150 . My guess is that Maria might have something in her contract with Nike that she needs to sign on things with their logo on it since almost everything I have seen has something with Nike on it.

Could be a Nike thing, but there is no symbol on the pic I posted above.

Maybe she just doesn't sign pics of herself that she doesn't like? ;-)
