Unfortunately this was a box I discarded of from a success a few weeks before joining the site. Wish I knew to keep it to help others for reference if they want to get a signed car from him. It definitely wasn't cheap, around $30 round trip with the return label for a diecast car. He allows 2 requests per year. I would get this legendary autograph while you still can. He's appreciated the fans his entire career and known as not just the 'King of NASCAR' but the 'Autograph King' as well.admin wrote: ↑Sat Nov 21, 2020 5:57 pm Hi m4catky
Thank you for your feedback
Would you have a scan of the envelope you received please?
If so, you are in the run for the $10 gift certificate.

I had the Post Office generate me one when I shipped it. Placed it in a separate envelope with my letter for Richard inside the box for the return I had my diecast car in. Received it back in 8 days from KY to NC and back. They placed the label on at the Richard Petty Museum. So I'm told any return label will not expire if purchased from USPS directly. Spoke with a representative with Pirate Ship the other day about going through them, they said there labels expire in 90 days according to their representative. The people at the museum and Richard himself are pretty diligent. They have quick turnarounds there so I don't think you'd have an issue with him. He's one of the fastest I've ever seen for everyone.
There's a lot of conflicting information out there and even USPS picks and chooses which rules they will enforce. Some sites online tell you it will be shipped anyway but may need to pay postage due to claim if the original return label isn't honored past the expiration date. Other online sources say you can request a refund on expired labels. Then some say you never get charged for it until used? The last part is already miss information online as I paid my return label up front.Greg2600 wrote: ↑Sat Nov 28, 2020 2:00 am Appreciate that! Usually I print the USPS label from USPS.com, and they do have an expiration date on them. Technically USPS are supposed to void them but perhaps I never do. Like you said, it's not like it's going to be months. Awaiting a diecast car myself, which I intend to send.
