Thomas Eugene Beier (born June 23, 1945) is a former American football safety at the University of Miami (Florida) and professionally for the Miami Dolphins of the American Football League. Transferring to Miami as a relative unknown for his junior campaign, Beier came on and became the Hurricanes most deadly defensive back in that 1965 campaign. That season Beier slammed 69 opponents to the ground, setting a record for most tackles in a single season by defensive back. Member of the University of Miami Sports Hall of Fame.
