Ian McKellen - Very Disappointing Fail

I'm really surprised, considering I've seen so many positive responses from him on this site. On February 5, I sent LOR, SASE, and a playing card to Ian McKellen at:

On March 1, I received the card back, unsigned, in my SASE. I'm definitely not having much luck lately. I'm wondering if he has a thing against signing playing cards? Not sure, but I'm definitely going to try again.

Don’t try again because you’ll be sent a preprint of him instead of getting your card signed by him.

Shame as Sir Ian is normally a good signer - I’m waiting myself.
