One thing I like about her is that she's an alto. Though most celebrity singers are sopranos, most people are altos. I understand sopranos for being more popular; they have such high, lovely voices that hit such sweet notes, but altos can be great singers too. (It turns out Adele, Katy Perry, Lauryn Hill, and, hello, Judy Garland are altos!) So I'm glad that Amy Grant made her way to fame, though it must've been hard.
