I've sent a letter to Maria Sharapova at the Fan mail address database.
I don't remember when I've sent the letter but I receice a real autograph signed to my name on 25/04/09

yea , she presigns them and then someone adds the "names" to it

^^Agree to disagree^^ There is no reason to believe it's a secretarial dedication. Look at past success where members have sent their own photo's, the dedication matches perfectly. Anyone else agree? {up}

In my opinion, Maria takes care of her own fanmail, including the personalization, and if I remember correctly she has said numerous times she answers her own fanmail usually on Sundays. I've written to her numerous times over the last 5 + years and I find that depending on my letter (and her mood !) she will sometimes skip the personalization, giving me an autographed item that, although I will keep forever, is worth significantly more than a personalized item.

It has also been my experience that you can write to Maria and she will sometimes return the mail with a postmark from where she happens to be playing that week. In one case, she sent my fanmail back right before she went on to win the Acura 2007 tournament in Caifornia. If it was a secretarial dedication it would have been returned to me from Ohio.

I hope this clears things up.
