The one thing I've found out about sports teams in general that welcome fanmail is that the player is responsible for checking their mail boxes and sometimes it takes them a while. I've had other successes through the Penguins with varying lengths of time. Sergei Gonchar took over a year, Bill Guerin only took a week and a half and Bob Errey was about 2 weeks.

Another thing I noticed about the Penguins in specific, if you get something back from them with a promo card for a certain player, e.g. Sidney Crosby, that means that player doesn't sign through the organization. But otherwise, it's when they check their mail.
