Yeah it is a bit confusing and hard to explain haha but no, I actually wouldn't write to the not so important characters. Probably only like Ryan Gosling, Rachel etc.
I wouldnt write to anyone I didnt know, or hadn't seen in a movie. I would consider writing to someone I had only seen act twice though, but I have to like them.

The bigger question here is "how do you write a letter to a celebrity you are not a fan of?" :D

I haven't the faintest idea how I'd write a nice letter to someone I don't actually like! lol! I know there's imdb for movie stars but I'm sure the celeb would see through someone reeling off a load of movies from a website!

Also, it's unfair on the genuine fans if their fave celebs are being mobbed by dealers and people wanting to boost their collection as the celeb will become less sincere in their replies.

I like writing my letters almost as much as I like recieveing autographs so I much prefer to write to people I genuinly admire. {thumb2}

Hi,
I write to celebs
-I'm a fan of .
-celebs who peoples of my family are fans from (I give them autographs as a present)
-and historical important people(presidents,or last survivors for example Millvina Dean)
The most autographs I've got in my counter aren't mine anymore,I've given them away as a present!

Kind regards,
PAtrick

If I write to someone through the mail, I am a true and genuine fan. However, if I see an e-mail address for a star who I know of, I'll do that too. I wouldn't write them an actual letter, because I put a lot of time and thought in my letter. But I don't think it's bad thing to boost the ol' collection through e-mail. maybe I'm wrong, but that's how I feel.
