Is reCAPTCHA the only spam solution that's going to be utilized?

I don't think anything else has been discussed. What other suggestions did you have in mind?

Has it been implemented yet? Seems like spam's hitting harder lately.

I think we are just barking up the wrong tree and no one that can make the change is listening

The amount of spam varies greatly week to week. Some weeks it's overwelming, other weeks it barely exists. We will continue to work hard to keep the spam at bay until Admin does something about the problem!

no, as far as I know, there hasnt been any changes

This was put to admin 3 years ago numerous times and his response was that it would slow down the registration process for genuine members, and was not needed.

It was put to him again when the forum had a very big problem with a real life spammer who was sending numerous hate PMs about a year ago, and he gave the same reason, but also added "just ignore him".

That about sums it up really doesnt it?
