Finding autographs at Thrift Shops...yes, it does happen!!

Went to a local Goodwill. my dad and I are trying to get some cash by collecting and selling old books and albums and we found the "The Best of Tony Kenny" signed by Tony Kenny. Although we didn't get it (We had no idea who Tony Kenny was)

Well I got my income tax refund the other day, so I hit the streets hard yesterday. I found this book at the local D.A.V. Thrift Store and the CDs I found at CD Tradepost:




'My American Journey', signed by the author, Gen. Colin Powell. Powell was the first African American United States Secretary of State, and the first and so far only African American to serve on the Joint Chiefs of Staff. I've compared the signature to other examples and at this point believe it to be authentic. Plus, finding the two photos, dated on the back from 1999, inside the book, helps to authenticate the signature.


'New Beat' by The Exit, signed by the band. The Exit are an indie/punk/reggae group formed in 2000.


'Find Your Own Way Home' by REO Speedwagon, signed by the band. REO Speedwagon formed in 1967 and have been rocking out ever since!! I grew up with these guys and LOVE their music!! "Take It On The Run" and "Can't Fight This Feeling" are amazing songs!! VERY happy to find this!!

Yesterday, I went to a store called "The Downtown FleaMarket". It's basically a flea market all rolled into one building. I try to go to this store about once every couple of months or so. Yesterday, I hit paydirt!!


'Under the Kudzu' by Shenandoah 1993 CD, signed by singer Marty Raybon. There also appears to be another signature that I think is musician Donnie Allen.....can anyone confirm this for me??
Shenandoah are a country music band who have released nine albums, two of which are certified gold.


'This Generation' by SonicFlood 2005 CD, signed by the band. Sonicflood are a contemporary Christian music band that have produced several albums and won three Dove Awards.


Nascar driver David Green signed 8x10 color photo card framed. David Green won the 1994 Busch Series Championship.


Nascar driver Elliott Sadler signed color 8x10 photo card framed. Elliott Sadler is one of only 21 drivers to win in each of Nascar's top three series.


Former Nascar driver Jon Wood signed color 8x10 photo card framed.

I paid less than $20.00 for all this!! VERY happy with my findings today!!

You guys are NEVER going to believe what I just got at one of the book sales here for 4 bucks a signed book by Jimmy Carter.
I'm working on getting a photo of it along with the card that came with it!!!

As far as I can tell it IS real!!!
