I have different choices for different reasons:

Michael Jackson This Is It: because it was a memorial to him.

Twlight: New Moon: because it had LOVE and ACTION-ish In it..

both great movies.

"Revolutionary Road" & "The Reader" {??} ! (I know they shoot the movies earlier, but the release here was in the beginning of 2009)

out of the ones on this list i would say inglorious basterds,the only other one i saw was avatar and i found it to be boring. my personal pick for best movie of the year would be the blind side,amazing film plus tim mcgraw who i think is great is in it. i also loved the Hannah Montana movie,and up.
