There has been NO official announcement on Taylor playing Jake. on IMDB.com under New Moon he is listed but be aware that it could change. Michael C. is one of the actors that is being considered for the role which has created a LOT of anger. He's been cocky enough to put on his face book account that he IS the older Jacob Black and then here is a quote from an interview with the teeny bopper magazine J-14.

J-14: Taylor's been bulking up to try to get the role. Have you been preparing in any way?
Michael: If anything, I feel like I need to bulk down. Right now I'm close to 200 pounds of muscle. Taylor's probably what, 140, if he's lucky? I'm already 200 pounds, so there's no need for me to get any bigger. Plus he's 5'6" and I'm 6'2". In the book, he grows eight inches and I'm exactly eight inches taller than Taylor. Huge difference.
Oh Gag!

I think they need to leave the characters alone. People liked the kid that played Jacob, and he fit well, I'm not sure changing him would be a good thing. Plus the guy they're looking at doesn't really seem like Jacob to me. However I could kinda seen Ben Barnes as Aro. I think that the fourth one would work and let's face it if they can make ones like Return of the King into one movie, they can make Breaking Down into one. There really isn't so much detail that they can't make it as one. All they'd have to do is make it a longer movie, and not put so much of Bella being pregnant in it. I think it you don't do that, it will not translate onto the screen at all. People wouldn't like it, you'd also cut out who would/could go see it. I think if it is put into two films it's only because they can make a ton of money out of it, not for the fans. But we'll see.

Yeah I agree with what you said. Michael Copon is such a jerk and I will not see the movies if hes Jake. I really really hope they cut out some of the pregnancy but we'll see what happens. What about Renesemee? How to make her grow so much.

I think that the only way they could pull Renesemee off is if they actually did like CGI or something. But I dunno.

I agree I'm pretty sure that would be the only way to make it realistic. http://www.ipetitions.com/petition/Mich ... index.html

Well....

I read everything in this thread, and since the Twilight series and it's entire world is one of my favorites, I decided to throw in my opinion....

1. Taylor Lautner has officially been confirmed for the role of Jacob on New Moon as well as the next ones (if they're turned into movies). He's been building up tons of muscle and he looks incredibly different!! Perfect for the new side of Jacob.

2. I liked Breaking Dawn, beacause it's the ending of a whole love story and of all it's complications. It's the least we could expect of a Hapy Ever After ending....

3. I don't know who said it, if it was Catherine Hardwick or not, that BD would never be turned into a movie, due to it's length and increasing sensuality scenes.

4. But, we all need to keep in mind that Twilight series is not written for little girls/children... If you go look the books up in any book store, they're in the Young Adults section, and that's exactly what Stephenie Meyer said they were targeted for: Young Adults. I don't think the next movies, including NM, will be rated PG13, but quite likelly 16+, not only for the increasing sensuality scenes but also due to some more bloodshed and violence scenes.

All in all..... I Love the first movie and I absolutelly LOVE all the movies!!!

I want myself an Edward!!!! {love} {love} {love} {love}

I just finished reading Breaking Dawn last night :D
It was very different from the other three books and in a way I kinda enjoyed that. This book is not about the two of them wanting to be with each other but have to keep the distance. That part is over with - we know they belong to each other and they have by now both accepted it.
The interesting part is starting on a new life as a team. As all the other problems start to develop. There is no such thing as happily ever after and even when you think you've accheived it new things will always surface and threaten what you've got.

My likes and dislikes...

Likes:
I liked how Bella was more powerful than Edward. I would have kicked his but just for the fun of it :D
I liked how she had to be the more careful one.
I loved her power! Even though she didn't consider it a real power it gives her exactely what she wants: the power to protect her loved ones.
The disappearing of Alice... I think I liked that too... Just because it's a different kind of fight that we're used to seeing them do. To retreat was also a form of fighting...

Deslikes:
That Renee wasn't more involved in the story... How can she just be blacked out like that...
Jacob imprinting on Nessie... That was a very easy way to deal with his problems, I think.
Just how FAST was Charlie to accept Bella's new life...? Didn't seem very realistic to me
I liked Nessie and she seems adorable but just how fast was the change from creepy monster to heartwarming little princess?
The fight that didn't take place... Huge thumbs down. I was in the mood for at least a few good people losing their lives! *lol*
The other half human half vampire boy... I didn't like how Alice just pulled him out of her sleeve when needed... It seemed too convinient. I did however like how he saw his own mother in Bella.

I probably have more but I can't think of them at the moment...
