Historical Autographs
Historical Autographs
Hi everyone,
I was wondering if anyone else on fanmail.biz collects autographs from historical people. Now these are not historical actors or historical singers but people who are famous for things that they took part in or did. If you do I was wondering who you have and who you are looking for addresses for. These people could be military men, people who took part in famous events etc. I am interested to hear what people have.

Re: Historical Autographs
I am really interested in collecting historical autographs. I sorta only recently started as I havn't been in auto collecting longer than 2 years. I hope to get World War vets for a start, as I honour what they did during the war, and I really hope to get autographs of very well know authors such as Charles Dickens and so forth (of course, the older ones I have to buy)
Any tips for a new beginner?

Re: Historical Autographs
I collect several historic autographs (mostly politicians, but some otherwise)
The authentics I have are:
Al Gore- Bill Clinton's VP
Ralph Nader- Former Presidential Candidate (Green Party)
Joe Biden- US Senator, Presidential Candidate (Democrat)
Jimmy Carter- Former US President (Democrat)
John Glenn- Former Astronaut (First man to orbit Earth, first man in space)
Eugene Kranz- Former NASA Flight Director (brought Apollo 13 back)
James Lovell- Former Astronaut (First to orbit moon, Apollo 13 captain)
Harrison Schmitt- Former Astronaut (Last man to walk on moon)
Bob Dole- Former US senator, former presidential candidate (Republican)
Dick Durbin- US Senator (Democrat)
Nancy Pelosi- Speaker of the House (Democrat)
Mayor Richard M. Daley- Mayor of Chicago (Democrat)
Brian Mulroney- Former Prime Minister of Canada
Vint Cerf- Internet Creator
Ken Jennings- Longest lasting Jeopardy! contestant
That's all that I can think of.
I also have several unauthentic autographs, but I felt this was easier to just post the authentics.
