Charles Martinet IP success

Next guest I met at this year's Huntsville Comic and Pop Culture Expo is Charles Martinet, the voice of the famous mascot of Nintendo, Mario (as well as Luigi, Wario, and Waluigi). I was surprised to see on the guest list year because on August 21, 2023 after being the voice of Mario and Luigi since 1994, Nintendo of America announced on Twitter that Charles would be retiring from providing voice acting for the Super Mario games but would continue to work with Nintendo as "Mario Ambassador". I told him that I loved the classic Super Mario games as a kid and that I've beaten Super Mario 64 and got all 120 stars. I told him that he's no Captain Lou Albano (the voice of Mario in The Super Mario Bros. Super Show), but he did a great job. I also told him that I like pepperoni pizza and spaghetti with meat sauce and he said that I'd fit right in the Mushroom Kingdom. I paid $80 for his autograph. He then said to me in Mario's voice, "Thank you so much for to playing my game!" Then I said to him trying to sound Italian, "You're welcome, paisano!" I hope you like the picture.
