Tilman E. Pool born Houston TX 24 Dec 1923.. Joined the Navy 28 Jul 1942 and completed pilot training on 14 Nov 1943.. After a land based tour with VF-39 in the Marshal Islands, he joined VF-17 on the USS Hornet on Feb 1945 flying Hellcats. He ended the war with 6 victories..
Sent him 2 photos on 13 Jun and got them back signed on 24 Jun.. He also sent back a 4 1/2 by 6 1/2 photo that he signed Tilly.
