September 2, 2016: I had posted that I was disappointed and didn't know why Gene had stamped the DVD. I deeply regret what I my silent negative attitude about it. I, like many others had no idea that Gene was suffering health problems over the last several months and I will treasure all his films that I own and will never again complain about a stamped autograph from anyone.

R.I.P. Gene :(

Don't get upset the autograph hobby is a tricky thing. You just have to catch them at the right time. I always wanted kim novak but I sent her about 2 years late. What she send now are secretarial . And Gene was great in young Frankenstein.

You should be ashamed of yourself. Calling and getting upset over a dying man like that.

He had been sick over the past several years, not months.

Think about this: Considering how sick he was, isn't it surprising that's there's little variation in inked signatures that have been sent out? There should be some hesitation and shakiness, maybe even the signature becoming smaller or more carefully drawn out, rather than a usual fast signature. There has been speculation that he had a secretary fulfill his requests - possibly his wife.
