There are several celebrities residing in the UK that I would love to write to. Problem being that I live in the US. I've read the sticky thread here about international postage and have even attempted to figure out the Royal Mail's website. But the issue I have is that, since I do live in the US, I'm not that familiar with the metric system for weights.
Can anyone in the UK offer some advice on how much postage you use to send a SASE, LOR and let's say one 8x10 photo to the US?
Once I get that sorted, I'll try to figure out how to get some UK postage.
Thanks in advance.
Can anyone in the UK lend some advice?
Re: Can anyone in the UK lend some advice?
You can weigh your return item in ounces and then use an online conversion calculator for weight to get a weight in grams.
Then, go to http://www.royal-mail.com/pricefinder which will assist you in calculating the cost of your item.
I send out 6x4s so can't help any more than that![Smile :)](./images/smilies/icon_smile.gif)

Thanks
If you know, does something like this require a customs form?

When ordering something from the US to UK, it was possible that an item over £18 in value could be subject to customs checks, but not always.zach8270 wrote:ThanksIf you know, does something like this require a customs form?
I would guess it's the same from US to UK but this can change quite often.

From UK to US for an airmal letter, no.
I don't think you would need one from US to UK either but i'm not 100% sure.
I don't think i've ever had a customs label either way for my UK to US requests![Thumb Up {up}](./images/smilies/icon_thumbs_up.gif)
