Sending to and Receiving from the UK
I am sending autograph requests to Dame Judi Dench, and John Cleese, who both have addresses in England. I am looking to send a regular business envelope(containing an SASE inside) from Wisconsin to the UK. The worker at the post office told me that it is $1.15 for postage to send TO England. However, she said that postage varies when it comes back FROM the UK to me in Wisconsin. She said they might not even allow US postage. Any help would be great. I need to know how much postage to put on the SASE envelope(that I want to come back to me FROM the UK) that is going inside the envelope I am sending TO the UK.

http://www.royalmail.com/price-finder Is the UK postal service price calculator.
You cannot use US postage for your return item.
You will need UK postage on the return envelope.
There are a ton of topics which cover International return mail so browse and you'll find lots of info.

Re: Sending to and Receiving from the UK
The USPS website sells a sheet of 20 1st Class UK stamps.
Two of the 1st Class UK Stamps on a #10 business envelope should be enough for your SASE.
If you are unable to order the UK stamps, check the feedback to see if the people you want to send to have accepted US dollars for postage. Based on my past experience $2 is usually enough to cover a 4x6 photo returning in a #10 business envelope. Just mention that you are including the money for postage in your LOR.

Brilliant postal worker... they might not let you use US stamps to post in the UK. Next time you see her, ask if you can pay for posting your mail in Japanese Yen.
