Koko can be great. His only problem that I know of is that he doesn't like to be bothered at home nowadays by a stack of mail.Hardcore42187 wrote:I find addresses all the time. The US Postal Service should send me a thank you letter or something. I'm trying to keep them in business.
Got to meet Koko B. Ware at a local show the other night in Savannah. He was selling gimmicks so I bought an old WWF 8x10 of High Energy and he signed it graciously. I asked him if he would mind signing a trading card and he said no problem. I had a plastic card holder in my pocket with about 10 different cards of him in it. I was searching through them trying to find which one I wanted him to sign and he asked "Are all of those of me?" I replied yea, to which he said give me all of em. He got a kick out of looking through all of them. He even read the backs of each one. I told him multiple times that he didn't have to sign them all and he said man, you guys make my living so anything I can do to give back makes me happy. I had always heard Koko was a tough cookie when it came to dealing with fans, but on this night he was a class act. Thanks Koko.

Re: Wrestling Collectors?
I got a RTS from Koko in March. I read the thread later and heard that his address was posted in a newspaper so he got bothered a ton and got angry about it. This is why he refuses and does RTS now. However, if you meet him in person he has no problem signing.

Re: Wrestling Collectors?
Hey guys - was just wondering if I could get some feedback from y'all, seeing as this seems to be the place to come for Wrestling info.
I have, in my possession, signed 10x8's of The Undertaker, Kane, Randy Orton and Cody Rhodes - all which were brought from a reputable dealer who holds private signings with wrestlers. I also have a signed Jim Ross photo which I acquired through his agent and a signed John Cena index card which I got myself in person. I also have signed Daniel Bryan and Dolph Ziggler photos which I purchased from wwe.com.
Just wondering how much this lot might be worth? And then where I should try if I was looking to sell them? I'm a little tight for money at the moment so i'm considering passing them on to somebody else.
Any info would be great. Please feel free to PM me. Many thanks.
Simon.

Re: Wrestling Collectors?
Something new coming soon for Nikolai Volkoff and Jimmy Valiant to sign, lol
Attachments won't load for me but I have a pic on my FB. I have written a book of fiction called "Only The Beginning" about a girl's life during high school. Nikolai and Jimmy are "good, close, personal, long time friends" of mine to paraphrase the legendary Mean Gene. They have lent their names to a "forward" for the book where they discuss their response to the book, me as their friend and how they feel they relate best to the book's message of being a good person, doing the right thing and helping other people.
I received a "proof" copy to edit and will be going through a self publishing phase next week. Copies will be available online and hope to sell a few at wrestling conventions!

That made me laugh out loud. I have read this board for a number of years and seen you treat every new person the same way, insult them, make fun of them, and do nothing to help guide them to the proper way of doing things. I used to post but learned a long time ago that anything I post would be met with smartass comments by you. You go out of your way to piss people off, and now you wonder why new people don't post anymore??? just take a look in the mirror pal.CubsFanKEC1982 wrote:I suppose it was inevitable that this thread would become a wasteland, but for a few years there, this thing was cutting edge in terms of who all was coming back in the mail.
Then, the old guard got tired of the new people that didn't contribute everything.
Thus, the only successes you see week in and week out now are the addresses that were valid four years ago of the same old good signers. Ho-hum.. I used to check in her once a day.
Now, I average about once a week... Not what it used to be, that's for sure.

Re: Wrestling Collectors?
Is the "reputable" dealer you mentioned eBay's own PPWF2006? If that's the case, I wouldn't take the Taker, Kane, Orton and Rhodes for free.popatemyheart wrote:Hey guys - was just wondering if I could get some feedback from y'all, seeing as this seems to be the place to come for Wrestling info.

Just out of interest, what's the deal with that PPWF2006?? I've heard mixed things about them.

Actually, new people do post here and it's the same ole, same ole tired routine, much like when you were posting here in volume..
As for the rest, my track record of who I've helped speaks for itself. Ask around.
