Grace Park "HAWAII FIVE-O" ...Super Success x 2

This one is amazing because i am a huge Hawaii Five-O & Grace Park fan 2 months ago i sent Grace a letter,sase and 1 5x7 photo to the hawaii five-o address on my return envelope in the picture and today i got back my 5x7 photo personalized with a nice inscription & she included a beautiful 8x10 hawaii five-o promo picture signed and personalized and its a very high quailty glossy photo on fugicolor crystal archive lab quality paper and its a promo pic i have never seen before it must be new Its so shiny and beautiful lol This is my best success this year so far and i am very excited about it I am so happy she wrote me a inspirational inscription on the 5x7 photo because from what ive seen she usually just signs aloha and her autograph so this one feels special to me lol Maybe its because we both are from B.C. Canada... The funny thing is i saw requests coming back from her a week ago and hoped mine was coming back and i was just about to write to her at her agency tomorrow and then this shows up today.It was meant to be. I have a question maybe someone in the u.s. can answer,this is the second larger photo mailer i have got back from the states this month where i put 6 stamps on but the person paid an additional $4.59 on top of my stamps to send it to me in canada so is that because they just wanted to pay more so it would have the small tracking number on the customs sticker or is it some new policy with the u.s. post office where larger photo mailers going to canada must now be sent small package or something because my 6 stamps plus the $4.59 works out to be over $7.00 to send a photo...? Anyways grace not only sent me the photo and signed mine but she paid the extra $4.59 what a kind lady.

Super success John! That was nice of her. I was lucky she signed my BSG photo AND the Stargate one. Not sure about the postage. It's gone up tremendously for international, even to Canada. Was there cardboard in the envelope? That can tip the cost up. My latest photo w/ cardbd. to UK(Ian McKellen) cost almost $10!

There was no cardboard but it was one of those cardboard type 9x12 photo mailers and it came as first class international mail instead of lettermail so maybe thats how the u.s. post office does it now with larger international stuff. I can send something the same size and weight from here in canada to the u.s. for half as much. I guess the u.s. post office is looking for ways to make up all their losses but in the end charging twice as much will only stop people from mailing stuff even more. I guess i will have to stick to VV in canada or send smaller photos and return envelopes to the u.s. where 4 stamps or so will do.

Great Success usps has more than doubled on international shipping. For 2 8x10's

It cost me $8.55 to send to Canada and $12.75 to send everywhere else.

Well my sase was a rigid photo mailer so yeah I had to send it in a bigger envelope because it couldn't be folded so I sent it in a 10x13 padded envelope. I think they are finished filming for now though but im not 100% positive.
