Kareem Abdul-Jabbar FAILURE

Sent LOR/SASE/8x10 on 12/3/12. Received letter in mail today saying "If I want an auto to go online to kareemabduljabbar.com and fill out an order form". Looks like he wants $100/auto. (The e-mail address on their website doesn't even work.) *** ***!!, could've atleast mailed my 8x10 back in my SASE.

2 things for ya... If you had done research before you mailed photos to him, you would have seen that he hasnt signed anythign TTM for a few years now. 2nd, double check that your spelling his name correct and the website will show up. I just tried it and had no problem at all. Stinks though that his people didnt atleast send your photos back... I guess live and learn, live and learn. Has happened to all of us, and sure it will happen again...

The website shows up, I have it spelled correctly. The e-mail address listed on the website does not work. (It immediately gets returned.) I wanted to e-mail and ask what "Order form" they are talking about in the letter. As well as try to request my photo back.

I guess by "fill out the order form" they mean "Order the $100 signature"

You can't send in your own items to get signed. By the looks of it you have to buy his items, and for $100 it looks like its persoalized. Thats what I'm taking away from the site....

A little research goes a long way!


Not only has he basically never signed TTM for free. He also will only write "Abdul Jabbar" never his full name. And he will NOT sign items Lew Alcindor.

Be thankful he only charges $100 TTM. His fee at shows/conventions is twice as much! And he will charge extra for any inscription or personalization.

I have only seen him sign Abdul Jabbar on all of his signatures. I think the 'Abdul Jabbar' signature is his "full" autograph. You are right about Lew Alcindor as well.

And he actually has signed TTM in recent years. Just type in his name in the "Search" section of this website, click on his address info, and you'll see the TTM history for him.
