LOL! Not open for discussion even thought I just discussed it. Good times.hhh4000 wrote:here we go again. it does not matter who goes out for beers or does media work or what ever you do. everytime you want something from anyone it is how you present your request. for example, requesting a graph from someone that you are meeting for a job, you simply ask if they mind being bothered and that goes for just about any situation. you don't have to analyze the thing. JUST BE POLITE. you can ask someone to sign 8 pics for you and get it done , even 12 ... i did.... just be polite.. if you are THAT much a friend of the person, he probably already knows you are a collector. no issues. know what i mean.
before someone jumps on the amount. that is not open for discussion.
Who did you work with? I guess I missed it.
Working on the 2012 TNA Reflexxions set. 2 to go! 97/99 on card autographs so far for the set. Paying high for ones I need to complete it.

Re: Wrestling Collectors?
If Mysterio knew he is a collector, then there is no problem with him signing that many. If it's a dealer, that's a different story. But, if he was fully aware that he is a collector of Wrestling Memorabilia, then there is no need to argue on this topic since obviously nobody minded.
Re: Wrestling Collectors?
Struck out trying to get CM Punk last weekend as his tickets were sold out. He had a great turnout. I'm hoping to catch him next month.
Also, Dustin Rhodes has a website where you can order a signed copy of his book. Here is the link. I just ordered my copy.

If you're representing the media, there is an ethics issue involved.hhh4000 wrote:here we go again. it does not matter who goes out for beers or does media work or what ever you do. everytime you want something from anyone it is how you present your request. for example, requesting a graph from someone that you are meeting for a job, you simply ask if they mind being bothered and that goes for just about any situation. you don't have to analyze the thing. It obviously influences how an interview is conducted for one thing if someone signs eight things for you.
Do you think any hard question will be asked of the interviewee by a fan/mark that's interviewing them? Of course not.
Softball questions at best. There'll be no questions about Rey's history with steroids and the fact that he's on his third strike with the company.
It'll end up being a fluff piece with no substance. That may be what the WWE wants out there, but that's not carrying out the responsibility of a newsman to get the whole story.

I don't understand any of your above post. I'm suspecting that English is your second language? That's fine. We have folks from all over the world on this site.hhh4000 wrote:LOL! Not open for discussion even thought I just discussed it. Good times.

would you please decifer this. english please.
what i don't. discuss is the amount i present to a wrestler to sign, that is what i don't discuss. great times.
anyway, media and their ethics are separated when there is personel involved. if rey and his friend are in his home then it does not matter what he asks him for. only matters between him and rey.
To reiterate my point, the fact is, it was documented that Rey was being interviewed at the time he was dropped with this amount of memorbillia to sign.
That's a conflict of interest for someone's that is conducting an interview for a media agency's vieweing.
As for who I've "worked with" (I suppose that is your way of asking who I've covered in my experiences with the media, but held back from dropping a tonage of autograph requests on them), here is a shortlist....
The NCAA's winningest coach of all-time Pat Summitt, Kyle Vanden Bosch, Vince Young, Pro Bowler Chad Clifton, NCAA National Championship football coach Philip Fulmer, Bruce Pearl, Cuonzo Martin, Derek Dooley, Bo Scaife, Koko B. Ware, Rikishi, Alison Sweeney, Diamond Rio, Billy Dean, Pam Tillis, Kyle Busch, Jamie Little, Brad Keselowski, Carl Edwards, Danica Patrick, Mark Prior, and I could go on and on and on - especially in the NASCAR realm.
In each instance, I didn't give them any breaks in terms of my questions and if I got anything signed, it was minimal due to my striving to be a professional and separate business from pleasure.

Re: Wrestling Collectors?
Not getting a rgument started oon any subject about whats real and whats not but i have just started going through my autographed trading car collection. Found out i have several autographed cards thats the same. And since tradning is a pick and chose thing anymore becaus eyour personally friends with someone and ignore others than can help you out i have decided to try a secoond route to this. People have opinions about Ebay selling fakes and nothings real on there. However i have started selling some autographed trading cards on there each autograph is indeed real dont believe me look them up and cmapre yourself all my stuff signed is 100% real no fakes and no attempted copies of a signature. If interesdted heres the link.

And some will say oh that aint worth it but you know what i pay for postage and getting the stuff out. You get 6 autographs for the price of one no individual buying all six one price. Check it out. Again i aint asking for a year dicussion of this i just simply posted so we all collect and you know there are real deals out there. Plus i didnt wanna go through the collection i have but i have no choice but to get rid of some and sell them for medical reasons regarding my grandfather. Who didnt have a choice but to enlist in the military and now deals with medical care because of where he fought at in Korea. Didnt bring the military up for discussion either just being honest im selling them to help my grandfather out with medicine and everything he needs i figured having him around is worth more than autographs anyway. Ao there ya go and ill have a few more up soon.
