Hello
I was wondering if this can be a topic for email request successes.
Please add on here any successes you have had whereby you have emailed a star which has resulted in them sending you an autograph through the post.
Cheers guys

Why can't you just send a letter of request and pay postage to a celebrity you like instead of cheaping out and getting a free autograph by sending an email?

He's right. Anyways, if you like a celebrity so much, find the email yourself.

Usually when a celebrity receives too many requests for an autograph by e-mail, they switch to preprint or autopen in order to send the requests out as soon as possible. This is probably due to the overwhelming amount of authentic autograph requests piling up in their inbox. If you do not mind getting preprints, you should try e-mailing studio fan mail. They send preprints of various celebrities very fast. If you collect authentic autographs, your best chance is to try writing to them through the mail. I know it stinks when you send a LOR, pictures, and an SASE to a celebrity only to receive an RTS, autopen, or preprint. One failure is a step closer to a success. You just have to remember to continue trying because after waiting weeks or months for an authentic autograph and getting one in the mail is such a rewarding feeling. Don't give up! Keep collecting and good luck!

Apart from discussing whether or not to post e-mail adresses, I definitely think we need an "e-mail successes" section on here. It's too confusing and also very frustrating to always see e-mail successes in the "Feedback" forum.

An email success section would be a big mistake. That will be basically a list of emails that you can get successes from and people will just email every success for an autograph since they know they send out. I don't think email successes should be posted full stop, it only causes arguments.

Emails get spammed easily. Then the stars stop signing. Also people just get the autographs for free and then sell them.

With e-mail section I didn't mean it as a list of mails, just a folder for thread for people to post successes in (most of the people do not give out e-mail adresses anyways).
I'm also NOT a fan of them. I just meant to put them away from the real feedback because I also don't consider them as real successes. I know there's a trash section, but it takes too long most of the time to move them to the trash. (I'm always like "WOW" when I read a rare celebrity name and then, when opening the post, I realize it's on of those ominous e-mail successes).
