Re: Autograph book up for auction
I'm glad to see people are already bidding on it. Like a few other people here I am also interested in purchasing it, but I will wait a bit to put my bid in.
Re: Autograph book up for auction
Well the gavel struck on Ebay. The high bid was $355. Not enough to meet the hidden reserve of $750 I'd set.
So I weighed out the options: Based on RRauctions.com estimate of "$500 to $1000" -ish, I saw that I'd be in the low $400's after their sales commission (15%) if the low end of that spectrum were the going price with their firm.
So I elected to go with the ebay bidders offer. Book was sold. Thanks everyone here for helping me ID nearly all the autographs in the book. That was a definate help, and will make it all the more enjoyable for the new owner. They are a collector located in Louisiana.
thanx again!

WOW! I'm glad you were able to sell it. That's one lucky Ebay winner their!
