Went to an Indy show down here and had a great time. Got a trading card signed by Santana G, a trading card and action figure signed by D-Von Dudley, and a promo and two trading cards by Stevie Richards. Even picked up a bWo shirt.

Re: Wrestling Collectors?
Hi guys. I have been lurking here for a while and thought I would make my first post on the board.
Been a wrestling fan most of my 30+ years on this planet and have been collecting autographs for most of that time too (just recently started collecting TTM, though).
I want to write to Raven, as he is one of my all-time favorites. I was just wondering if he charges for an autograph? Obviously I'd be paying shipping and whatnot, but does he charge to autograph, in this case, a magazine cover? I had seen earlier in this thread that, as of 2010, he charged $15 for an autograph. Is this still in effect? I assume it is, just want to know if it went up or anything. I also checked his website and there was info on that, and the only email contact was to book him for events. Didn't want to send there, as I thought that was specifically for someone who wanted to book him.
Thanks guys, for any help you can give me. It would be much appreciated.

Thats the downside about getting tradeing cards signed. I think we all need to call and e-mail wwe, tna, and topps and tell them that we WANT no more heavy gloss cards. Does anyone rememeber back in 2008 wwe released WWE Topps Heritage IV set? Does anyone remember how much gloss there was? there was almost none. I LOVE that set!!!! I do my best to only send out that set. I think wwe and tna need to go that way why so much gloss!!!gentlevader wrote:All the cards were prepped before the signing. I found out that sometimes no matter what you do to the cards they come out not holding the sharpie. I even noticed a pattern with signers vs different cards. TTMs are esier as I think they take more time. In person they are sometimes rushed. AJ Styles even rubbed my cards down right in front of me and almost every one of them came out like that. On the flip side, Ric Flair's cards came out great! Garet Bischoffs weren't so great, but Austin Aries' Signatures looked spot on. Just hit or miss sometimes.

Re: Wrestling Collectors?
Totally agree! 2008 was the year. Tristar released 2008 Impact with no gloss at all. Amazing set and still with no gloss whatsoever. Many of us collect that set for the design and how awesome they look signed.nicole175 wrote:Thats the downside about getting tradeing cards signed. Working on the 2012 TNA Reflexxions set. 2 to go! 97/99 on card autographs so far for the set. Paying high for ones I need to complete it.

Glossy cards are the fad among card collectors right now. Folks that get cards autographed are a niche market today.nicole175 wrote:Thats the downside about getting tradeing cards signed. Also, I think the gloss makes it more difficult to create counterfeits of inserts, which can fetch a high price and thus are targets to be replicated.
With the printers we have nowadays, creating counterfeits of some dry cards would appear to be somewhat simple. The gloss combination used by the trading cards company is probably a bit harder to replicate.

Re: Wrestling Collectors?
I never thought about that Cubs mighty fine point. I love love love the fact that in the new Reflexxions set, the relics have no gloss. I got a dual relic signed by James Storm and the Champ Bobby Roode and it came out amazing. One of my favorite cards in the collection now.CubsFanKEC1982 wrote:Glossy cards are the fad among card collectors right now.
