OMG, have you ever felt that your mailman is stealing your mail, such as autographs. I know it's stupid, and this post should be deleted, but seriously, I do feel that way. LOL. I sent so many autograph requests through the months, and I really haven't been getting responses that I hoped for. For example, Kate Bosworth. I see so many collectors getting responses from her all the time. I'm wondering if it's because of something I wrote. Hmm. Well, I guess I have to wait and see.

I doubt it's the mailman, perhaps someone in the postal system though if you've been missing mass amounts of mail, bills, magazines, etc., but I wouldn't base that solely on not getting a success.
If you think the autographs attract his attention, don't put the celebrities name on the SASE.

Luckily my postie is good, and also luckily in the UK we actually have letter boxes in our doors! unlike having to walk accross your garden to get to a little "postal house" thingy or whatever you call it sitting on the grass. and as my envilopes are too big to get through the letterbox he knocks at the door and hands it too me to save bending it.

2 options to solve the mailman stealing post, firstly.

Send yourself a letter bomb. soon as he see's your 8x10 with the familiar hand writing "ah another autograph for him" *opens* BOOM!!! no more theving postie.

Secondly, not all that cheap, could get yourself a P.O Box, however may look odd to the celeb and still needs to be delivered to the box so doesn't really help anything in the long run.....

oooor... you could make your SASE's recorded delivery, so when its posted they are trackable/insured. But still problems with that no doubt

i have not got an autograph from a mlb player in 2 weeks and isent out at less 5o requests

i always have a little feeling about that.

i always grab the mail when i comehome from school and our mail person does not know how to close our mailbox (sarcasm, they're probably just too lazy to) so i'm more worried about the neighbors.
cause there it is, a yellow envelope in a wide open mailbox. a bored neighboe snatches it and they now have your autograph.
