I'm still honest even it the person I'm talking to is a little older than me.
Britney Spears==>> 6 #1 albums. 2 diamond albums. 8 platinum albums. 400+ awards. 200M+ records sold. Britney has sold over 45 million records this decade despite only releasing three albums. Globally, Britney has more #1 singles than any other female artist except Madonna and Rihanna. "Oops!...I Did It Again" by Britney is the 5th best selling album of the 2000s decade worldwide. Britney is the only female artist to chart her first seven albums in the top two of the Billboard 200. Britney has achieved at least one #1 album in 3 different decades (90's, 00's, 10's). Britney is the first solo female artist from the 90's to reach 1 billion Spotify streams. Despite NOT even being a single, 'Tom's Diner', ft. Britney , has become Giorgio Moroders best-selling digital track. 2015 Billboard Awards ratings reached a 14-year high, with numbers peaking during Britney's performance. She IS the princess of Pop. Well if you admit it, and don't care and still are a jerk, you don't need anything explained to you from any of us. If you didn't want fanmail advice and just wanted to bash a celebrity for not returning your letter like it was more special than anyone else's you have the wrong forum.

Selena is way too busy to reply to every single fan mail request. Luckily I got her autographs in person. She does a lot of events so your best bet is to go to one with your daughter.
Waiting on: Danielle Panabaker.
Most Wanted: Paramore, Ellen Page, Danielle Panabaker, Jena Malone, Jennifer Lawrence, Emillie De Ravin & Pitch Perfect Cast.
My favourite celebrity is Demi Lovato. She's my idol.

Re: Selena Gomez Hollywood Records
You were and are being a nasty jerk. Nowhere did I say this was a hobby. She was interested in this one autograph and for personal reasons related to my daughter's health, it was important to me to get it for her. Hobbies are long term and that's not likely in this case. So, yes, I am whining because when a sick child sends a heartfelt letter, I think someone should have the decency to reply. Did I do a lot of research on the topic? Nope. I spend my time researching important things like treatment options. But I thought this one thing might buoy her spirits, which is actually a potentially critical component to her health. If it wasn't for your mean spirited and incredibly selfish replies, I wouldn't have gone into precisely why THIS particular autograph and photo was important. Again, I applaud your humanity. At least when I thought you were 12, I could semi-excuse your negative, personal attack on me and my child. Now, I see that there is no excuse for an ignorant fool who lacks compassion or the ability to give constructive input as to how I can find a solution. Happy holidays!vivalakayla wrote:Nobel Peace Prize, I know what it is and I'm not 12. If I was 12 I would have been right behind you because like !!!!! Yes, I was serious with my post. Have a wonderful holiday season because you are clearly one of the great humanitarians of our time. In fact, I bet you're in the running for a Nobel Peace Prize. Since it sounds like you're 12 from your reply, why don't you "do some research" on what a Nobel Peace Prize is AND how to treat people with respect. There's really no need for you to be nasty to me. If you didn't like my post, then you could've just ignored it. But, it sounds like you get your jollies from being cruel to complete strangers on a message board. Very mature! Grow up!
There is really no need to be nasty about a BUSY celebrity not returning your daughters heartfelt letter, either. But you were. Do you realize how many of us have sent off requests and NEVER get a reply... It's the hobby and we deal with it. THAT's what **** me off about your post. WHAAAA WHAAA is all I read. I've probably lost hundreds of dollars in postage with getting no replies.. But that's the chance you take. You don't see me on here crying about it. You either need to DEAL WITH IT or find your daughter a different hobby. Pretty simple. I'm not being cruel, I'm being honest. Truth sometimes hurts.

I just want to thank you for responding in a respectful manner. It is helpful and most appreciated!clash6361 wrote:I remember I sent my first ever fanmail to Selena years & years ago. She switched addresses so I never got a response, but I didn't know that at the time & was very upset and angry.
Now after getting some experience, I think I can definitely give some insight to the OP. I see where you're coming from; you work all day and bother to spend some time writing to someone (or your child does) and in an ideal world you should be entitled to a response, even if it is a kind rejection letter.
But lets be real; sometimes theres just too much mail for even a company to reply, even with fake pre prints.
As a child, I'm sure they are taking this much harder than any other age group, but don't let them think Selena didn't want to sign something for them.
Furthermore, don't buy a fake autograph for them, they'll figure it out eventually.
Tell them the truth, or just don't bring it up at all, kids are quick to move on given distractions![]()
Also don't take it personally, chances are if any human being other than the post man saw your letter it was just as he was handing in a stack of them which hollywoodrecords might have thrown out. No one read the letter and then threw it away.

Re: Selena Gomez Hollywood Records
I am in the wrong forum. For those of you who were helpful, thank you. If this was a run of the mill request for an autograph, I wouldn't be upset. But, when my daughter gets home from painful treatments, exhausted and nauseous and says as we are getting out of the car, "maybe it will be here today, mommy!" with a glimmer of excitement after what she's been through, my heart breaks for her when it's not here. Was I a jerk? Probably to people who didn't respond constructively and I don't feel bad about it. I will leave you all to your hobby. Best of luck getting those autographs that clearly mean so much to you all. I have more important things to worry about and I will start by explaining to my daughter that this just isn't going to happen. I'm sure she'll take all of this better than I do. I guess it's one thing I thought I could do for her when so much else is beyond my control.nicknifty wrote:End of discussion.Riley'sMom wrote:Um clearly, I don't.nicknifty wrote:

Sorry your daughter has health issues. A lot of people do. But that doesn't give you the right to be an ass yourself, either. And that's the exact way your post came off. & you can't blame Selena on the fact that she never replied to her letter. She most likely never even touches them and probably neither does her management they most likely get tossed otherwise Selena would reply to some or all of them. And to be honest, I'm sure a lot of dealers send Selena sob stories to try to get a signed photo that ends up on the internet and gets sold for hundreds of dollars which is probably why Selena and a lot of other stars do not sign TTM anymore. It's sad, but true. People ruin it for others.Riley'sMom wrote: You were and are being a nasty jerk. Nowhere did I say this was a hobby. My original comment was true in terms of what occurred. You may not have liked the tone, but it wasn't directed at any individual on this forum. However, people attacking me and my child was, in fact, personal. And, it was uncalled for because I didn't attack anyone.vivalakayla wrote:Sorry your daughter has health issues. A lot of people do. I truly appreciate your explanation. The information posted on Fanmail.biz (this site) when you search for an address to send Fanmail to Selena Gomez lists addresses, comments from people who supposedly received responses, and does not say anything about the fact that she no longer replies to fans. I knew it wouldn't come directly from her, but I did think the record company would return an autographed photo, based on what I read on the site attached to this forum. The reason I posted to this forum in the manner I did was because it was at this site that we got the information in the first place. So, I thought and still think lodging a complaint here was appropriate since the info here is incorrect apparently and since there's nowhere else to post it.
It is a problem that a few ruin it for everyone and this most certainly isn't the only example of that. To be honest, I couldn't care less about memorabilia and autographs, even when I was a kid. I appreciate that it is a fun hobby for some and a money making scheme for others. But, I have to admit that it is rather disturbing when some of these "stars" can't be bothered having someone answer fans. They make plenty of money to hire people to do that and the reason they make money is because of their fans. Some of these "celebrities" like the reality stars and the teen stars really aren't going to have those fans forever because soon something bigger and better will come around. It's a shame that there's not more of an effort to appreciate the people who make them popular in the first place. Leif Garrett was a little before my time. He was a huge teen heart throb. He was everywhere. He was gone as fast as he arrived. Now, I heard recently his latest job was on Celebrity Rehab or something. I bet in the time in between, he wished he still had those fans from the 70s.
