It *IS* real. Authentic? No. Real? YES.. Deceitful? Definitely. But she's a POLITCIAN.

It was no different than the bookplates last year. She advertised both on her Facebook page, so she definitely knows what's going on.

You do realize that celebrities don't run their "Facebook" pages. Yes, they authorize them, but most times they have a webmaster that does it.

She is a politician, if she doesn't do it herself, she certainly knows everything that is being posted and approves everything.

And in the eyes of non-collectors, especially in the legal profession, there is NO difference. It's not ORIGINAL. It's not AUTHENTIC. But it is a real signature. That's why there was no lawsuit in that Romney case. That Clinton case. Etc. Etc.

the tobacco companies should put "smoking cigarettes won't kill you" instead of "smoking cigarettes may cause cancer." because there are truths in both of them... because cancer kills you, not cigarettes.

when you order a signed book, you aren't thinking its not hand signed. i mean whats the point of paying more for something that wasn't even personally signed? it should be at no added cost then. you are assuming since you are paying more for something, that there's added value to the item. in this case, there is NO ADDED VALUE.

Well, after being given the run-around most of the day, the receptionist at HarperCollins finally put me thru to the Editor of 'America By Heart'. I can't remember what his name was, but he admitted that the signatures were autopenned. He said this happens a lot in the publishing industry. He said he's "sorry" and that it "is mis-leading", and that the "only way to get an authentic signature is to attend one of the book-signing events or to buy the limited edition, leather-bound signed book". What a jerk!! And what a horrible company!!
