Anyone that can make me quality 8x10 photos?

Sorry if this is the wrong place to put this but I'm not quite sure where I should put this.

There are some particular high quality photos I have on my computer or on CD that I would like to get made into quality 8x10 glossy photos (not cheap print-outs) and I was wondering if there is anyone who could help me out that might have the ability to do so? I know there are some board members that make their own high quality photos to send people.

I am wanting some made because there are particular images I want signed by someone (either in person or through the mail). Thanks for any replies.

The big places like Walmart won't do it. They told my friend that they would not make prints of celebrity photos no matter why you wanted them unless you took the photo yourself (like a candid, cause that is of course ok..it's your pic).

I am looking to get some images from movies and such that I really like to be made so I can get the image I want signed through the mail or at a con I'll go to.

This is why I was asking on here if there is anyone that can do it, because Walmart and those places won't do it.

Thanks for your reply though. If anyone can help me though I'm just wanting them for my personal collection. I have sent a few people particular shots I wanted signed but they were poor print outs and I don't feel as proud of those as I do when I've sent a glossy photo. The quality just isn't there with cheap print outs.

I agree with you on the printouts so I send practically all of my celebrity photos online to Walgreens and have them printed off. I even pay for them online and all I have to do is pick them up. I have only been turned down once and it was because one of the photos had a little banner on it from the website I got it from that I didn't realize was on there.

Walgreens, if you have one near you, is one of the cheaper places I have found. They charge $2.50 per 8x10 if you buy more than one at time. 5x7s are $1 if you buy more than one.

For sake of argument here let's say they turn my photos down like Walmart or I have some they may not want to do (a bloody scene from a horror film, a nearly naked modeling shot of an actress, etc) or the photo I like has some sort of banner or something that's unavoidable.

Is there anyone on here that does any sort of photo making?

I guess I'm going to try any local photo making places I can and maybe can get atleast some of the photos I have interest in made, but just for sake I am asking because I actually remember seeing a few people posting before that they could make glossy pix, I just don't remember who they were.

Thanks for your help though, as I said, I'll try to look into those but they are usually strict, it atleast seems so to me. I am not trying to be stubborn, I am just trying to get some photos made with little hassle as possible. Going somewhere and them saying "sorry but we can't let you print these" is a big hassle.

Understandable. I see your point, but in case you can't find anyone to do this for you, I just thought I'd let you know that the one time I was turned down, they called my phone so I never had the embarrassment of going into the store and being told my photos weren't printed.

I love being able to submit photos online and pick them up in about 20 minutes to an hour.
