I was in 2 separate Post Offices in the Youngstown, Ohio area today and both of them told me that IRCs were being discontinued from the Post Office starting tomorrow. Has anyone else heard this? It honestly doesn't sound right to me.

IRCs are going out, they are no longer available in the UK. If you have any doubts, perhaps you could phone your postal service and ask them to confirm.

I was looking into IRCs for my request and the USPS website says they are no longer issuing IRCs. Hope this helps.

Easy.

Stamps from the return country (obtained through trade or sale here on autograph exchange/sale section of forum or ordered from return countries website), or a small amount of paper currency of the return country.

This will work for I would say 90% of countries.

I have confirmed that effective 1/26/13 (on or about) IRC's were discontinued. Another option is to send an international money order for approximately $5 from the US to foreign countriies. These are still available at your local US post office.
Hope this helps.
