how to request?

How do you request autograph in the letter? Can I request 2 autographs at a time(not insert photos into envelope of mine)? I want to get more if the he/she will. How do I request in my letter? I think "Could you give me some autographs" is not good.

I personally use :
Sir/Madam, may I kindly request an autograph from you? If possible, dedicated to me? I would be truly appreciative...etc etc
I think it's pretty rude to request more than one autograph, and it also hogs other fan's opportunities, but that's just my opinion. Some people have no problem with making a request like that, so if you feel comfortable with doing it go ahead.

Yes I would personally never request more than one. Especially if they're both for yourself. It's sometimes a nice idea if one if a present for someone else, but you can't always expect the celebrity to send you more than one, they may even think it's rude themselves.
I usually say something like: Would it be possible, if you have the time, for you to sign the picture I have enclosed/send me a signed picture of yourself, please? It would mean a lot to me.
Anything along those lines is good

I request two a lot. But I say one for me and One for ____ for a present (for some holiday).
Just write a nice fan letter talking about you, and maybe your favorite production and why, then say "I hope it wouldn't be so greedy, but if you had an extra photo could you send an autograph?" Then Sweetly close the letter.

The only way that I would ask for 2 was if I sent 2 of my own pictures, otherwise just 1

Yes and No. My first couple of tries no because I didn't send an SASE.
If I do, USUALLY. Sometimes I request one for my friend and they throw in one for me too.
