I am so paranoid now, I read posts daily because I'm new to this and I'm still obsessive about reading every little post and I've been reading a lot about people talking about how they store thier autographs. And people saying that the autographs can actually disappear. Now I'm worried mine will as well. I adore my autographs because the ones I have are from actors I truly adore and they are in person.
I store mine in a scrapbook, the pages are acid-free. It is a very good quality scrapbook and I keep it under my bed. Is the way I'm keeping them ok?

Hi girlbehindthereddoor
I think the issue here is that sometimes autographs can fade if you don't store them correctly, which means you'll lose your precious autograph!

Keeping your autographs in a acid-free scrapbook or album is a good idea. Additionally, keeping your autographs out of direct sunlight is a must to stop them from fading. Keeping your autographs under the bed is ok but there could be better places. That's OK though - the area is dark - but make sure your autographs don't get damaged or dusty while under there!

I store the majority of my signed photos first acid free pages, then each in a file folder and if i have multiple of the same person i do use the same folder. They are stored in order in file cabinets so no light can effect whatsoever, its pricey way of storage but its worth the price in the long run.

I keep mine in Ultra-Pro photo pages and hard plastic holders. And I store them all in 3 different rubbermaid totes, so no sunlight ever gets to them.

I moved them from under my bed to a cabinet in my entertainment center. Very dark and cool.
Also I'm buying a new book. I only had 11 to begin with they they were in a scrapbook from the trip that I took where I got them. I took them out (still in the acid free platic pages) and I'm going to buy a new book for just them soon.
