This is MY VERY VERY FIRST attempt to write a fan mail and I'm very excited ! Though, I need lots of advices for a novice fan writer such myself. First of all, I lived in China ( I'm on a studying trip to China and will be living there for at least 6 months) I know that I would need to attach a stamped envelop as well. How am I going to do that, since the stamps I'll be buying is going to be Chinese stamps ? Is there some special coupons I need to buy ? I need more information on this. Please feel free to give me any farther advices since I'm doing this for the first time Thank you !
First off, I need some more info: you want to send letters to celebrities while you are in China? Do you want to person to respond to your China address or do you have one in the US that they could mail it to?
If possible, I would recommend this: mailing your requests FROM China to the celebrity (you will need Chinese stamps for that) but I would recomend you putting a US address on your SASE (parents home/appartment that you will come back to, etc).
Some people take a while to respond, but some are fast. I would hate for you to lose out on a great responce because they took forever and it arrived in China after you left. But you said it was at least a 6 month trip so maybe having the person send to your China address would be fine. It is up to you.
Thank you so much for your reply Yes, I am sending the letter from my address here in China. You think I should include in U.S as well ? I'm afraid that I will get the reply in less than 6 months and nobody is home now at the U.S. What do you think ?
Please give me more tips I'm writting to the members of the monkees ( micky dolenz and peter tork ) I really want to give a shot with mike nesmith as well but I heard that he doesn't respond back. Have you have any experince with these people ? You are more than welcome to share you experience I would love to hear them !
