James Gandolfini is an American actor. The Sopranos and God of Carnage (Broadway).
Bernard B. Jacobs Theatre
242 West 45th Street
New York, NY 10036
I sent my letter of request, picture (4x6in), and self-addressed stamped envelope on July 14, 2009.
I received my picture back signed on July 27, 2009. This came in the same envelope as my God of Carnage Playbill (click here).
Overall, I waited 13 days.
Wow, you're so lucky to actually get something back from him. I've only seen one other success from Mr. Gandolfini from 'God of Carnage'. I sent way back in March and I haven't gotten anything back yet.
Maybe this means he is getting around to his fanmail, but I won't get my hopes up.

Fantastic success
Thanks. {thumb2}
Maybe he is starting to read his fanmail! I think he is taking a month vacation from the God of Carnage. Maybe he'll use this time to read and respond to all the letters he has received!!
"God of Carnage" was originally a limited engagement which was supposed to close the 19th of July, but extended to the 26th; it sold so well that the foloowing has happened!: Due to someone's in the cast previous contractual agreement (I Don't know/remember who!), the producers have worked out a deal with the cast where they have off for 6 weeks - from July 27 to Tuesday, September 8.
You can continue to send fanmail to this address, as it is valid through November 15, 2009. Since they are on a 6-week break, he obviously has time to go through his fanmail. KEEP IN MIND, HOWEVER, that any mail sent to this address MORE THAN LIKELY won't get picked up by Mr Gandolfini or ANYONE in the cast until SEPTEMBER 8th-ish.
Again, you can write, but you more than likely won't get a response with this slew of other people. So you can either wait until closer to September 8th, or send now, but if you send now there is a better chance of it getting lost backstage!
Congrats on this wonderful success. I'm a little confused about something though. You posted 2 successes in regards to "God of Carnage". The pic of Gandolfini, and a playbill which were sent in the same envelope... Did you send your letter 2 the stage manager, or did you send it to Gandolfini? Just curious.
