For those that send VV, I know being able to give a definitive answer is impossible, but if a venue does not pass on letters, do they typically "RTS" or dump them?
I am not talking about venues that do pass on and the artist refuses...
Thanks and good TTMing.

Re: Via Venue - failure question
Not all venues will pass on fan mail so the ones that don't I would say just dump the fan mail but the ones that do pass it on the artist or manager and then they decide want they do with it. Email the venue first before sending anything to make sure they pass on fan mail.

Re: Via Venue - failure question
From a person who sends alot of VV stuff i would say 90% of the time its dumped if not passed on to the celeb and you wont get it back but some venues will RTS but its rare so be careful what u send because its a gamble and like vegas the odds are rarely in our favour haha
Re: Via Venue - failure question
I do not have good luck so I should have known better. I sent a couple photos signed by creators of a couple TV shows VV and apparently I will never see those again. You would think that if they weren't going to sign but saw that they were previously signed they would just throw the photo back in the SASE. Ohh well, they were not PC items, but very frustrating.its a gamble and like vegas the odds are rarely in our favour
As for unsigned items, I understand the dump either way, venue or artist, but receiving them back RTS or unsigned would be preferred.

Re: Via Venue - failure question
Yeah you might get them back but the thing with VV is you dont know whos opening it because if the person is gone already or said they dont want mail passed to them its possible a venue employee opens the mail before tossing it out of curiousity or whatever and if you sent signed items they might just keep them because technically once you send something to a agency or venue they are not obligated to send it back to you.whackie wrote:I do not have good luck so I should have known better. Re: Via Venue - failure question
I send a lot of items to venues. I get a low percentage of them back. Even the ones that are stated as passing along items may get trashed by the artist's management. I still keep trying but I never hold out a great deal of hope.
