Hi
Let me make a point here.
The whole point of saying no to an emails thread was that we didn't end up spamming celeb email addresses.
I know as a fact that there are email address out their for numerous celebs that I have never heard of, such as Peter Laird, and I would never use them, but it would seem some people use them becuase they think it boosts their collection and saves themselves money.
I have used email addresses for about 20 celebs, but only UK celebs who I watch on TV or look up to. It is pointless anyone spending valuble time sending people addresses of celebs that they may never have heard of, and are going to get their autographs just for the sake of it.
If you do this sort of thing, then you can not really call yourself an autograph collector, but an autograph hunter. If you collect people that you admire, look up to only, then that makes you a personal collector. But if you collect people for the sake of it, or becuase you see a sucess for the, on the forum, thats makes you a hunter, not a collector. There is a big difference.
As Ian said, if he is overwhelmed with email requests for autographs, then what is it going to be like for full time TV presenters or professional sportsmen/woman?
Just becuase people are famous doesn't mean that they are superheroes, they can not send out 100's of photos everyday, that would cost £20 each day, thats £120 each week, almost £500 a month, thats about £6000 a year. It all adds up.
