setting a thread page limit?

Post by fiz » Sat Sep 18, 2010 2:15 pm

i was thinking there should be a limit to the number of pages in a thread
i have seen threads that have 200+ pages
although its amazing that we have that kind of traific and participants on the forum, it kinda slows the computer down and also gets very frustrating searching 200+ pages for something.
if here was a limit, the threads could be archived or soemthing, that way members still have access to them but at the same time, things are not getting bogged down when adding new things

just a suggestion

Hi...
Exceeding the maximum thread pool count is a protection invoked only when certain deadlock conditions arise. To prevent runaway thread creation beyond the maximum, threads are created gradually (after a short delay) after the maximum limit has been reached. Exceeding maximum thread count can lead to a slowdown in task execution.
