I met Sir Roger Moore at the National Theatre

Unread post by autoland »

Hi.

On Thursday, I and a few hundred others, met Sir Roger Moore, at the National Theatre, he gave a talk, which was very witty, as you may expect from him.

Interestingly, there was a question and answer, part and someone asked him, in view with what Ringo Starr had done, as far as autographs, how did he handled his fanmail??

After joking, he said that he hated the thought of having in some cases, signed 20 autographs, for the same person, which ended up on e-bay :mad: :mad: {down} {down}

Then we wonder, why some people stop signing, truth is sometimes we only have ourselfs to blame.

Anyway Sir Roger signed my book, (he did not personalize them) and it was rather a quick, unreadable autograph, but at least it's his, and I got the book for half price, I said a few words to him, and he must have thanked me, about 10 times, his wife smiled at me as well, what a friendly fellow, he is.

Oh I was about half way in the final crowd, I was sitting at the top back, F14 I think. I'm glad to hear you made it, Wow Andy, what a talk, dont you think he was great!!!!

And I'm happy, that you also got his autograph, did you say a few words to him, I did, and his a very nice gentleman indeed.

Another thing is, he dont look bad for an 81 year old, not a grey hair on his head. If I looked like he did, when he was younger, I would have been married off years ago. :lol: :lol: :lol: :lol:

I was sitting in the back row right at the edge, great view! I didnt say much to him, thanked him for coming and thanked him for signing the book, and he thanked me back. Genuinely seems a nice guy too. And yeah, he looks great for an 81 year old!
