I wrote Sarah Palin about 2-3 weeks ago. Sent LOR/SASE, and (2) 5x7 photos. Today I received both photos 'signed' + a Christmas greeting card 'signed.' The photo signed in black sharpie and Christmas greeting are 100% matches, and were therefore auto-penned. I haven't found a match yet for the photo signed in silver paint- which as you can see has almost smeared completely off... But I'm assuming that was auto-penned as well.

Also want to comment on PSA/DNA real quick. As you can see (I included a pic), just because something is PSA certified, it doesn't make it legit. The signature on the PSA certified index card is a 100% match (with the exception of the thin 45-degree line at the bottom of the 'S') to the photo + Christmas card I received. Always gotta do your homework! Anyways, I hope someone finds this information helpful! It is kind of a bummer- I wanted these to be real. At first I thought they were. Sarah has a good autopen machine!

Mystery solved- Breaking down the signature= The 'S' is one machine-stroke, the 'arahP' is one machine-stroke, and the 'alin' is one machine-stroke. The 'alin' signed in silver paint marker is in fact a 100% match to the other two- the auto-pen operator just manipulated the placement of the photo so it signed lower. I mentioned this in my Phil Mickelson feedback (along with other tips)- A good way to determine whether a signature was auto-penned is by laying a sandwich baggie over the signed item and tracing the signature, then put the baggie on top of other signatures (Successes found on this site or on eBay) to see if they match.
