I wrote to Derek Martin on 22nd October 2015 and today 2nd November 2015 got my 2 photos back signed. Unfortunately he's signed in biro and it's very hard to see on one of them but its appreciated, he would later become an Eastenders legend .

Yeah, it's a pet hate of mine when people sign in biro....If I'd have known I would have sent a metallic pen along. I've got a few so I wouldn't have minded giving one away...he could have kept it for further signings if anyone wrote to him.

Congrats! Met him at a signing a few years back. Very nice man. Did not know he was in Dr Who. He is returning to EastEnders very soon.

I heard he's back on in the next 2 or 3 weeks, read it somewhere on tinterweb a couple of weeks back. He's been out of it for a fair old while.
He actually started off doing stunt work in the mid to late 60's from about 67 - 68 onwards, he appears in The Web of Fear episode 4 as a UNIT soldier too when they're fighting Yeti in London.
