That's to pity. I wrote to his vV address last year in NY ''The Real Thing'' and sent two pictures. Today came back the letter from his management in London. My pictures was not autographed and they sent a PP picture and a note that he has not so much time for all autograph requests.....

That's the reason which is makes not much sense to write to actors like McGregor or Arterton. I don't have a problem to wait a couple of months for an original autograph but PP or Sec...no sorry that's an "no go" for me. My personal opinion.It gives many greater actors which are fan friendlier.

Yep, shame but seems to be the way for Mr McGregor. I was lucky enough to be collecting way back when and got my pic signed by EM before he stopped signing (around the time Star Wars had just come out). Better luck next time.

And you have nothing to trade - you will receive...correct nothing. It's normal. You see my signature. It's since one year the same !! You think that some members gave me only a small !!! suggestion ? Ha Ha....yes one member for a couple of days, but that's all in one year...

@carlosreddevil, it was my second attempt and the last...I tried in 2012 also vV and till this day nothing came back. I see other responses and all are the same PP. sorry but I save my money

I got the same yesterday.... From the vv address.
I even included a £50 for his charity UNICEF which was returned to me with my return postage cash and plaques.

Maybe they even don't pass on fanmail to him anymore.

I sent to the vv address too. Haven't heard anything back yet. Also sent to management just in case.

It was only £10, as there is no other way to pay for return postage anymore it's th easiest way and it's not a big loss, and worth the risk.

I certainly don't think they should pay the return postage, they may be able to afford it but why should they?
