R.I.P. Joe Cocker!
I’ve never been a fan of his music. The reason why I sent an autograph request to him was a friend who wanted to have his autograph so badly. Though I don’t like his music, I’m happy and proud now that Joe Cocker signed a photo for me as well!

So you see this moment as an opportunity to show off an autograph you got from someone you say you don't even like? I find it disrespectful, and sorry, but I find this hobby pointless if you don't write the ones you really want to have or if you are doing it for a charity cause. I am sure that this is what no celebrity wants!

Why would you post this a few hours after the mans death and say you have the mans autograph 3 times if you are not a fan of his and you dislike his music so much? This is awful. The man is now lying dead in a mortuary and you are coming on here saying this. You should be ashamed of yourself. I will email this link to his wife Pam and show her how sickening this is.

Hahaha seriously? Yes it's true, I don't like his music, but this doesn't change the fact that he was a great musician and that his death is a big loss.
According to you ,renef09, I asked for his autograph for no reason. I did! A friend wanted to have his autograph, and I think it is not forbidden to send an autograph request then? It's not my fault that joe cocker sent an autograph for me as well. There are collectors who get these autographs and sell them, this is horrible. But what I'm doing is absolutely ok! I appreciate that he sent me an autograph and I'm proud and happy to have it and I think I will listen to some of his songs again soon and give them another chance!

I didn't say you asked an autograph for no reason. I said that asking an autograph from someone you don't actually like is pointless.
In your case, great, you asked it for a friend of yours and of course it is not forbidden, but you say you are "happy and proud" because you have Joe's auto but you don't like him, you just want to show it off to everyone because he was one of the greatest artists of all time.
It's like: "Oh yeah I really do not like his music but I have his autograph, I am great collector, I do not like his music, but I am a great collector, yes I am".
There are things you should keep to yourself.
And, of course, this is my personal opinion.

I truly loved Joe Cocker's music from his Cassette Tape Titled Cocker [that I still have even though it's my Dad's, but have been listening to it since I was a little kid] to listening him sing With a Little Help From my Friends on The Wonder Years to finding that I liked a song called Feelin Alright to You Are So Beautiful. I'm not sure if he did Bye-Bye Blackbird, but I grew to like it because of my Dad singing it to me. So I wished I was able to get his autograph before he passed away. So I guess what I'm blathering about is that I'm insulted by the creator of this topic to boast about an autograph of a musician he doesn't like. In fact it's a contradiction or the very least an oxymoron.
